Most practices have a Patient Participation Group (PPGs). This is a selection of patients and practice staff who meet at regular intervals to decide ways of making a positive contribution to the local services and facilities offered by the practice to the patients.
Every PPG is unique, evolving to meet local needs. Most commonly, they work with their practices to offer the patient perspective on the services that are provided. PPGs also help to improve communication, encourage patients to take more responsibility for their own health and to provide practical support.
There are two Locality Patient Groups, one in Fareham and one in Gosport, and a representative from each PPG sits on their relevant Locality Patient Group. These groups provide the opportunity to ensure that these valuable suggestions and feedback are shared with the CCG.
If you’d like to join or find out more about the PPG at your GP Practice please ask your practice manager.
