Brockhurst Medical Centre – important message for patients

Last updated Thursday December 10th (question and answer sheet added) - please check back for further updates

We recently wrote to you to advise that the two partners at Brockhurst Medical Centre have taken the difficult decision to stop delivering GP services.  Thank you so much to everyone who responded to our letter and completed the survey to inform us of your preferences for the GP Practice you would like to be transferred to.

Since writing to you we have been informed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) of the results of an unannounced inspection at Brockhurst Medical Centre, Gosport, on Monday 30th November 2020.

As a result of this visit the CQC reported that it is suspending the practice’s registration with immediate effect.

As a CCG, our immediate priority is to ensure all patients registered with Brockhurst Medical Centre have ongoing access to local GP services.

We will therefore be transferring your registration earlier than originally planned.

Please note that the transfer to your new practice came into effect on Saturday 5th December 2020. All of your patient records, including your prescription information, have been securely transferred to your new practice.

We would ask for your co-operation at this extremely busy time, to allow for your registration to be transferred via this process and most importantly we would ask you to please stay with the new practice you have been allocated to. Any attempt to change surgery again will impact on our practices which have been immensely supportive to us and would result in additional administrative process of registering patients which we’re trying to avoid.

If you haven’t yet had a chance to share your views with us about this process, you can still complete a short survey online:

If you have any questions, check our question sheet here (or click on the document below) please contact the CCG by emailing
