The CCG is led by the Governing Body. This is a group of 20 people, including clinicians and senior managers, whose key tasks include setting the CCG’s vision and strategy, monitoring the implementation of the strategy, taking overall responsibility for quality and safety issues, and ensuring that public money is spent efficiently and responsibly.
The CCG has a Constitution that sets out the arrangements made by the organisation to meet its responsibilities. It describes the governing principles, rules and procedures to ensure probity and accountability in the day to day running of the CCG.
The Constitution is available to download.
Governing Body meeting
The Governing Body meets quarterly and its meetings are held in public. The meetings are in the afternoon and tend to start with a public seminar on a specific area of interest, with the meeting starting afterwards. The dates, times and venues for future meetings are available on the Governing Body meetings page
