The Delegated Primary Care Commissioning Committee enables members to make collective decisions on the review, planning and procurement of primary care services under delegated authority from NHS England.
The Delegated Primary Care Commissioning Committees for North Hampshire CCG, Fareham and Gosport CCG, South Eastern Hampshire CCG and Isle of Wight CCG are now meeting in common.
On 28th March 2020, Amanda Pritchard Chief Operating Officer, NHS England & NHS Improvement wrote to NHS providers and commissioners outlining ways for them to free up as much capacity as possible to enable us to prioritise our workload to focus on doing what was necessary to manage the response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since this point, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Partnership of Clinical Commissioning Groups have been operating a lean committee structure. The meetings of all of our Governing Bodies and sub-committees have been taking place virtually, with focused agendas recognising that decisions needed to be taken quickly.
This approach has meant that there were fewer committee meetings and fewer formal papers being presented.
As we move into a restoration and recovery phase, we want to continue with our commitment to transparent decision making about how we operate our services and use our funds.
Over the coming weeks, papers and agendas will begin to be added to our website as meetings take place. A retrospective summary of the meetings that have been held since March and the items considered will also be made available.
We will keep this under review and update this page with future meeting dates when they are arranged.
